How It Works

During the 29th January-19th February 2021, 4 open workouts will be released, you will be given 1 week to complete each of these workouts (so 4 weeks in total) at your own affiliate, Gym or Training Facility, movement standards will be provided and you will need your workout judged and verified by a CrossFit Coach, Certified CrossFit judge or a Certificate Level III or IV Trainer.

You can perform each workout as many times as you like during the allocated 1 week and when you submit your verified score you will be able to track yourself on the leader board alongside all of the other athletes in your division and across your country and also nationally.

Master League Athletes are now in age Categories, starting from: 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-69, 70+

AGE ELIGIBILITY: If you are 34 turning 35 before October 31st 2021 you are eligible for the 35-39 Age Category. This concept is also for those deciding what age category to choose. Eg. If you are 44 turning 45 before October 31st 2021, the Age Category you would select will be 45-49

DIVISIONS: When you register you are required to enter as a Soldier (Beginner), Warrior (Intermediate) or Hero (Advanced) depending on your ability. See divisions page.

LEADERBOARD: Each individual athlete will be able to track their ranking on our live Masters League Open leaderboard.

This is a four-week, four-workout competition that is held in CrossFit affiliates, local and garage gyms around the world. Workouts are released online each Friday, and athletes have until the following Thursday 10pm AEST to submit their scores. Anyone who’s 35 years old can Register, and join in the first stage of the Masters League season.

NOTE: ATHLETES PLEASE VIDEO YOUR WORKOUTS BECAUSE IF YOUR SCORE LOOKS QUESTIONABLE YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT THAT VIDEO & IT WILL BE VERIFIED BY ONE OF THE MASTERS LEAGUE JUDGES.

Up to 5 top athletes from each Division & Age Category from the Masters League Open will qualify for this competition. The invitational is a one day event that will be held in May 2021.

NOTE: Attendance and participation at the invitational is expected of all athletes who make it through. If the athlete does not wish to attend, their spot will be given to the next athlete in line.

In some circumstances (family emergencies, pre-booked travel arrangements) Masters League may choose to allow the athlete to send in a video submission after the legitimacy of the circumstances has been confirmed. This will be considered on a case by case basis.

STAGE THREE – MASTERS LEAGUE GAMES NOVEMBER 2021

The top 2 athletes from each age group & division from the Invitational event will qualify for the Masters League Games.

Top two qualifying Athletes from Countries outside of Australia/New Zealand from the Masters League Open will get an automatic invite to the Masters League Games.

This will be considered on a year to year basis, where in certain countries a day Invitational may apply due to the growth and numbers of athletes, making it applicable!

MASTERS LEAGUE GAMES 2020 UPDATE

Due to the uncertainty of Covid19 in Victoria and the travel restrictions around the world, the MLG will move from an in person competition to an online event.

Further information will be emailed on how the protocols of the online will be conducted shortly!

Competition Dates – Saturday, December 5th and Sunday, December 6th 2020

This is going to be different YES and also challenging – so remember that from the challenges we learn, and from the learning we grow.

I know for some this is your first time and we apologise that we aren’t able to provide an experience of an in person event but the show must go on and we need to move forward and adapt to the current situation that we have all been forced to live in.
